This beautiful viewpoint of the Columbia River Gorge is known as the Portland Women’s Forum Viewpoint. It is a great drive to get to and parking is free, well worth a visit this summer. Read more about this popular location below.

It is the first significant overlook as you travel east on the Columbia River Highway. After the Chanticleer Inn burned down in 1930 the property was purchased by the Portland Women’s Forum and donated to the Oregon State Parks and Recreation Department. Parking is free, but the telescope costs 50 cents.
