Community members are encouraged to attend an Earthquake Emergency Preparation Workshop on Tuesday, June 7th from 6:30 to 8:00pm at the Columbia Grange #267 (37493 Grange Hall Road, Corbett, Oregon).
We’ve all heard about the potentially catastrophic subduction zone earthquake but how many of us will be prepared if the “big one” hits? This magnitude 9 earthquake could last up to 5 minutes causing long-term power outages and road closures that could last for 4-6 weeks.
Join us for the first of a series of workshops to learn how you can change the ending of the story for yourself, your family and your neighborhood. We’ll troubleshoot challenges specific to our area and show you how to stock a 72 hour survival kit to help you survive and thrive in the face of disaster.
