This is Elowah Falls, along the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. In the Photo is Let Birds Fly blogger Bailey. Bailey and her husband Mark love the outdoors and have ranked their 5 Must-See Spots along the Columbia River Gorge. Elowah Falls was their first of five must-see spots, followed by Crown Point, Multnomah Falls, Oneonta Gorge, and finally Horsetail Falls. Read a brief description of Elowah Falls and why Bailey and Mark classified it as a must-see below.
Elowah Falls was my favorite waterfall in the area. This waterfall makes you hike to get to it, but the hike is pretty short and fairly easy. At 213 feet, Elowah Falls is taller than Niagara Falls. The area around the falls is very lush and makes you seem like you’re in a fairy tale.
Why is it a must-see? Elowah Falls is one of the least-visited falls along the Columbia River Gorge. It’s easy to get the whole place to yourself for an hour or more. It is also amazingly beautiful.
