DESCRIPTION:The Troutdale Historical Society presents:  \n2017 – Year of Landmarks \nTroutdale Historical Society takes up the study of local landmarks for the new year\, beginning with a meeting and the following speakers: \n\nColeen Cahill\, the historic Cedar School owner who is also a photographer and has worked with Multnomah County to recognize historic buildings in the county will host the meeting and talk about the history of the building\, which is the third Cedar School.\nErin Janssens\, chair of Troutdale’s Landmarks Commission and owner of the 1895 Troutdale Methodist Episcopal Church\, now an apartment building in downtown Troutdale.\nTroutdale Councilor David Ripma\, owner of neighboring Sweetbriar Farm.  \n All three landmark owners will talk about their historic buildings and share photos.\n\nCedar School – Class of 1941 \nSince parking at the school site is limited to eight cars\, please arrive at 1:30 p.m. \n Park at Open Door Baptist Church\, 27710 SE Strebin Road\, where a shuttle will take you back to the site. \n (From Troutdale Road\, turn east on Strebin Road and travel about a block to the church.) \n~ The event is free ~ Donations are gladly accepted~ Refreshments will be served ~

DESCRIPTION:The Troutdale Historical Society presents:  \n2017 – Year of Landmarks \nTroutdale Historical Society takes up the study of local landmarks for the new year\, beginning with a meeting and the following speakers: \n\nColeen Cahill\, the historic Cedar School owner who is also a photographer and has worked with Multnomah County to recognize historic buildings in the county will host the meeting and talk about the history of the building\, which is the third Cedar School.\nErin Janssens\, chair of Troutdale’s Landmarks Commission and owner of the 1895 Troutdale Methodist Episcopal Church\, now an apartment building in downtown Troutdale.\nTroutdale Councilor David Ripma\, owner of neighboring Sweetbriar Farm.  \n All three landmark owners will talk about their historic buildings and share photos.\n\nCedar School – Class of 1941 \nSince parking at the school site is limited to eight cars\, please arrive at 1:30 p.m. \n Park at Open Door Baptist Church\, 27710 SE Strebin Road\, where a shuttle will take you back to the site. \n (From Troutdale Road\, turn east on Strebin Road and travel about a block to the church.) \n~ The event is free ~ Donations are gladly accepted~ Refreshments will be served ~
