They have a great menu and all of it is to go as well.\nWe will be having a guest speaker this week with Metro Council representative Shirley Craddick joining us.\n\nThe Metro Council and staff are considering making some changes to how Metro’s Supportive Housing business tax is calculated. The goal is to create more conformity between jurisdictions to simplify filing. She is bringing some formation for us and will be ready to answer any questions you may have about the upcoming forum on this Falls’ ballot.

DESCRIPTION:Come meet the new Executive Director of the Vista House. Alisha Hamel will be sharing the latest on the Vista House on Crown Point. If you have never been to the Vista House\, it is a must see when visiting the Gorge.\nAlisha Hamel is the new Executive Director of the Friends of Vista House. She was the Director of the U.S. Army Transportation Museum at Fort Eustis in Virginia\, but is a 4th generation Oregonian so was thrilled to return to Oregon to work for the Friends of Vista House. Vista House at Crown Point in the Columbia River Gorge was built to house a comfort station for travelers on the new Columbia River Highway. It was “intended to be the finishing achievement for the greatest highway in America” and to “grace the highest spot on that wonderway”. Alisha will tell the story of Vista House and how volunteers are so necessary to keep it open. DESCRIPTION:Jake Wegler is reaching out on behalf of the Urban Flood Safety & Water Quality District to offer the West Columbia Gorge Chamber of Commerce a briefing on the District’s plans to refer a bond next year for needed improvements to the flood control systems along the Columbia River.\n\nThe District was established by the Legislature in 2019 to modernize the flood management system in Multnomah County along the Columbia River. It intends to put a proposal before voters in 2024 to provide a sustainable revenue base for operations and capital construction to ensure we maintain levee certification by the Army Corps of Engineers. SUMMARY:Celebrate the renewal of Edgefield's Chamber membership with a BASH  Business after social hour  5pm to 7pm at The Edgefield Power Station.
DESCRIPTION:Our monthly BASH will be held at the Power Station at Mcmennamins Edgefield.  Ask the host where we will gathering and join us for fun food and a beverage of your choice.  Edgefield Power Station is such a fun place and so many other things to do there. Come early or stay late. We could even go down the the Pool room for shuffle board or play some pool. See you there and invite another business owner and see what the Chamber is doing.
