DESCRIPTION:Be the first\nto see this special show.\nWe’re pleased to introduce Oregon artist Ashlin Bush who will show works along with other local artists and with our program’s house artists\, featuring Tina Schmidt and Mike Kordowski. \n \nJoin us from 5-8 pm on Friday\, September 7\, 2018 for an opening reception for featured local artist Ashlin Bush and In-house artists Tina Schmidt and\nMike Kordowski. \nInfusion Gallery is located at 305 East Columbia River Highway\, Troutdale\, Oregon 97060. \nAshlin Bush’s “Mother” is a series of large portraits exploring our relationships to those who nurture us and who inspire nurturing in us. \nAbout the artist: Born in Portland\, Oregon\, Ashlin Bush grew up spending spacious time in nature with her father\, and today continues that tradition of exploration\, wonderment\, and foraging with her own children. Her art practice is inspired and informed by those experiences and by her evolving family identity. In 2014 she graduated with an Associate of Science from Mt. Hood Community College and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2017 at Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland\, Oregon. \nIn-house artists Tina Schmidt and Mike Kordowski are sharing and celebrating recent paintings they created in our studio program. Their works explore nature\, portraiture\, landscapes and more. \nAbout our program: Advocates for Life Skills and Opportunity (ALSO) is a nonprofit organization that provides supported living and residential services\, art-making programs\, and employment services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our art program and gallery’s mission is to promote the full inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in the life of their community and in the arts by using art and the creative process as a catalyst.
