The Eagle Creek fire had a significant impact on our region—threatening Gorge communities\, disrupting businesses\, filling our skies with smoke\, and burning through cherished hiking trails. Many are still working through the accompanying anger\, outrage\, anxiety\, and stress from the fire.  \nNow that rains have come and largely put the fire out\, we can breathe deeply and look to the forest for what it can teach us about natural recovery systems.
